- We only collect what you send us through our forms and chat, plus basic server logs.
- No analytics or advertising trackers on our website — except the Meta Pixel on our ad landing page, and only if you allow it.
- We never sell your data. We use it to reply to you, run projects and consider job applications.
- You can ask us to see, correct or delete your data at any time: hello@alphawavehq.com.
1. Who we are
This website, alphawavehq.com, is run by Alpha Wave Technologies (“Alphawave”, “we”, “us”), a software and digital services company based in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
We decide why and how the personal data described in this policy is used. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act) that makes us the Data Fiduciary; under the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) we are the controller.
This policy covers our website, its forms and its chat assistant. When we build or run software for a client, the client’s own users’ data is handled under our agreement with that client, and we act on the client’s instructions.
2. What we collect, and when
We only collect what you choose to send us, plus basic technical information our web server records automatically.
| When | What we collect |
|---|---|
| Enquiry and proposal forms (service pages, Contact) | Name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, company, website, the service you need, budget and timeline if you give them, and your message. |
| Booking a demo | Name, email, phone, company, the products you’re interested in and the time slot you pick. |
| Job applications (Careers) | Contact details and city; education, experience, skills and languages; current and expected salary and notice period; LinkedIn or portfolio links; your résumé and cover note; for internships, your preferred start date and length. |
| Chat assistant | The messages you type. If you ask about an invoice or a support ticket, the email address you give us so we can find your records. A random chat ID is saved in your browser so the conversation continues if you reload the page. |
| Email, phone or WhatsApp | Whatever you choose to share when you contact us directly. |
| Every visit | Our web server keeps standard logs: IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time. We use these for security and troubleshooting only. |
Cookies and tracking
Our website does not use analytics trackers or third-party ad networks. Across the site, the only thing stored in your browser is the chat ID mentioned above (in your browser’s local storage), which you can clear at any time in your browser settings. The one exception is our advertising landing page, described below.
Meta Pixel on our advertising landing page
On the page people reach from our Facebook and Instagram ads (alphawavehq.com/get-started) we may use the Meta Pixel, a measurement tool from Meta Platforms (the company behind Facebook and Instagram), to see how well our ads work. It is not used anywhere else on our website.
- Only with your permission. The pixel loads only after you click “Allow” on that page. If you click “No thanks”, or ignore the question, it doesn’t load.
- What it sends to Meta. That you visited the page and, if you send the enquiry form, that an enquiry was made — not what you typed into the form. Along with this, Meta receives technical information such as your IP address, browser and device details, the page address (including the ad campaign tags in it) and the cookies or identifiers Meta uses to connect the visit to a Facebook or Instagram account.
- What it’s used for. Meta uses this to tell us how many people our ads brought to the page and how many sent an enquiry, and to show our ads to people more likely to be interested. Meta also handles this information as an independent company under its own privacy policy, which you can read at facebook.com/privacy/policy.
- How to opt out. Click “No thanks” when asked. If you allowed it and change your mind, clear this website’s data in your browser settings (your choice is stored there) and you’ll be asked again. You can also control how Meta uses information from other websites in your Facebook or Instagram settings, under Ad preferences → Activity information from ad partners, or ask us by email.
Please don’t send us sensitive information (such as health data, government ID numbers or bank details) through the website. We don’t ask for it.
3. How we use your information
- To answer your enquiry — reply to you, prepare a proposal or estimate, and follow up about that enquiry.
- To run demos and projects — schedule and hold demos, and carry out work you’ve asked us to do.
- To consider job applications — review your application, contact you about interviews and, if you join us, start onboarding.
- To help existing clients — raise support tickets and look up invoices through the chat assistant.
- To keep the website safe — detect abuse, spam and attacks.
- To meet legal obligations — for example tax, accounting and lawful requests from authorities.
We do not sell your personal data, and we don’t use it for automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. We won’t add you to a marketing newsletter unless you ask us to.
4. Our legal basis
India (DPDP Act): we process your data based on the consent you give when you submit a form or message us, for the purpose you submitted it for, and for legitimate uses the Act allows, such as complying with the law.
EU / UK (GDPR): depending on the situation, we rely on taking steps at your request before entering into a contract (enquiries, proposals, demos, job applications), our legitimate interests (answering messages, keeping the site secure, improving our services), your consent where we ask for it, and legal obligations.
The Meta Pixel on our advertising landing page is only used with your consent, whichever country you are in.
Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time by emailing us. This doesn’t affect anything we did before you withdrew it.
6. International transfers
We are based in India and serve clients around the world. Your data may be stored or processed in India and in other countries where our service providers operate. Where data about people in the EU or UK is transferred outside those regions, we use appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses, and we only use providers that protect data to a comparable standard.
7. How long we keep it
We keep personal data only for as long as we need it for the purpose it was collected for, then delete or anonymise it:
- Enquiries that don’t become projects — kept while the conversation is active and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us, unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
- Client and project records — kept for the length of our relationship and afterwards for as long as tax and accounting laws require.
- Job applications — kept for the hiring process. If you aren’t hired, we may keep your application for future openings unless you ask us not to.
- Server logs — kept for a short period for security, then deleted.
8. Your rights
Wherever you are, you can ask us to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
- Correct or update it;
- Delete it, when we no longer need it or you withdraw consent;
- Withdraw consent you’ve given us.
Under the DPDP Act you can also nominate someone to exercise your rights if you die or become unable to. Under the GDPR you can also ask us to restrict or object to processing, and ask for a copy in a portable format.
To use any of these rights, email hello@alphawavehq.com. We may need to confirm your identity first. We’ll respond within 30 days.
If you aren’t happy with our response, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India, or, if you’re in the EU or UK, to your local data protection authority. We’d appreciate the chance to resolve it with you first.
9. How we protect it
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) across our website and systems, access limited to team members who need it, individual accounts with optional 2-step verification, and private storage for files such as résumés. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal data, we’ll notify you and the authorities as the law requires.
10. Children
Our website and services are meant for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you think a child has sent us their information, please contact us and we’ll delete it.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website or services change. We’ll change the “last updated” date at the top, and for significant changes we’ll make it clear on this page.
12. Contact and grievances
For any question, request or complaint about your personal data, contact our Grievance Officer:
